At the beginning of the season I wasn’t sure I was going to like The Amazing Race 21‘s Jaymes and James, the Chippendale dancers with dashingly good looks, but as the season progresses I’m finding that I really like their enthusiasm and their personalities.

Typically male dancers tend to be douchy, arrogant and narcissistic, but not these two. They actually seem pretty grounded and approachable. I don’t sense an attitude of “we are so HOT right now” (Zoolander reference) as I had anticipated. Not only are these two eye candy, they’re friendly – and funny.

Jaymes is the one who does most of the talking on the show while James pretty much agrees with everything he says. These two have great chemistry on Amazing Race though, and I hope they go far.

In this behind the scenes look at Jaymes and James after arriving in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the Chippendales take in all the chaos while realizing how naked they feel without the conveniences of the internet while traveling.

    I was thinking the same thing as you at the beginning. I was almost certain they were going to be complete idiots but they grew on me. They seem really genuine and very positive about everything. Those bodies don’t hurt to look at either :)

    When I first seen the dancing duo I immediately thought oh great these two will be cocky and arrogant. But they are just the opposite, so enthusiastic, smart and enjoying every minute they are there. I hope they go far.

    Yes! I love these guys!! Actually saw them perform a couple months ago w/ Chipendales for a bachelorette party in Vegas. They’re certainly attractive guys, and now thru the show I see what great personalities they have! :) I hope they go far.

    Yep LOVE them…have from day one. I haven’t seen any sign of any arrogance or cockiness…nice and refreshing.

    I really do want the painting but guessing I probably won’t win because I don’t really care for Jaymes and James. They do seem a little bit arrogant to me. Sorry.

    Some may think that James and Jaymes are friggin “chiptastic” but there no “Dynamic Duo” like say #Brenchel – The only way I wouldn’t want or favor the art work by Brendon Villegas was if you were offering a Non-Brenchel Prize alternative – Say a pic of “June ala Mud” drawn by “HBBC & Glitzy”.maybe.     I am yes, I want a gay couple to win. I hate to marginalize them like so, but it’s true. I do like how they seem to be having fun doing the show.     I like the jaymes and james! I think they are a good team and will go far because 1. they don’t seem to bicker like the other couples 2. they are physically strong and 3. they have good chemistry and work well together, forming the winning combination!

    Yess they are actually my favorite so far, they do have really good chemistry and have what it takes to make it really far and even win, their is something about them that gives off a really good vibe, they’re always so positive, and have been really likable this far out!
