Recap: Bachelor Pad 2 (Molly Mesnick Edition!)

Recap: Bachelor Pad 2 (Molly Mesnick Edition!)

Hey everyone! I’m Molly Mesnick, from season 13 of The Bachelor, and I’m going to be recapping the MOST-dramatic-train-wreck with you every Tuesday morning!

Last week we saw the happy ending of JP and Ashley living out a real life fairytale on the Bachelorette. A mere 7 days later the tides have turned from romance and roses to cattiness and backstabbing, which can only mean one thing.

Bachelor Pad is back!

Before the show even started, I knew we were in for a treat. Who wouldn’t want tune in to the drama that is … Jake and Vienna! We all saw their no-holds-bar break-up on national television, so the chances of seeing the two of them holding hands and splashing around in the pool together are nothing more than zero!

Before we tackle that hate-fest, let’s get in some other noteworthy moments from last night’s episode.

To start off the show, we saw each of the 18 contestants make their limo arrival to the Bachelor Pad. To no surprise, we saw a few “bad boys” from season’s past including; Justin “Rated R” and Michelle Money. You can’t have the bad without the good, however. It looks like Michael, a personal friend of mine, Ella, and Ames will help bring some sanity to this insane asylum!

The biggest shocker was seeing the return of Gia! Wasn’t she on the show last year? Yep! But something tells me her 2nd appearance is going to cause far more drama than the last, based on the rocky relationship between her and Vienna (Are you seeing the trend here?) Last night we already saw her medaling between Kasey and Vienna to save herself from elimination. Who will she come between next?

The most anticipated greeting, as mentioned earlier, was between Jake and Vienna. I was sure Jake would walk in with some snarky comment about Vienna, but it appears he is doing some damage control and playing nice. Whether or not his “I’m sorry” speech to Kasey and Vienna was sincere, he played his cards right and came out looking like the “good guy”. I give it 1 rose ceremony before that plan comes crumbling down. Bottom line, this is a competition. Alliances are going to form, and Vienna seems to have more “power” than Jake, so I’m not sure the southern gentleman act is going to work in his favor. Plus…Kasey has gained “30 pounds of pure muscle so that he can punch Jake in the face”. No doubt that guy will somehow get Jake to snap.

Perceived “power” or not, strength was the key quality in winning the first challenge. Did anyone get totally freaked out at the sight of Jake’s leg turning purple!? That dedication paid off because Jake and Jackie beat out the lot…but not without causing a fight between Kasey and Vienna. For Vienna to scold her boyfriend for letting go seemed a little ridiculous. His legs were about to fall off…give the guy a break!

Either way, it worked out in Vienna’s favor because Jake ended up giving her the “sympathy” rose. Was this a good move on his part? After seeing Vienna laugh off Jake’s apology…probably not. Luckily Jake had his own rose because it doesn’t look like the “olive branch” did him any favors.

Though they didn’t get the same airtime as Jake and Vienna, I think there is more drama to come from the Holly and Michael situation. These two were previously engaged, have broken up, and are now living in a house with drunk, sexually charged hotties (Did you see Vienna take her clothes off…yikes!). That screams trouble to me, and based on Holly’s initial attraction to Blake…I think we’ll see this love triangle unfold in episodes to come!

After 18 arrived, it was time for 2 to leave. Alli dug her own grave by joining both alliances…to then rat each of them out to the other team. I’m sure looking back; she’s not too “shocked” to see why she left.

And then there’s the wrestler. It looks like he was just too “badass” for everyone, but I’ve got to say, his honesty to the camera was highly entertaining.

Poor guy…he just wanted to swim in the pool.

Looks like there is more drama, drama, drama to come, so until next week…

Vienna has no class and is a little on the trashy side. Kasey is way too good for her and even though I am not a big Jake fan I will give him props for at least trying to do the right thing. It doesn’t matter if he meant it or not- at least he didn’t look like a sour puss. V needs to get over herself. She acts like he physically abused her and we know that isn’t the case. She is a big girl but when it comes to Jake she acts off “poor me” yeah it is an act

I think your recap was good, but i think it can be a little harsh at times. To me, it would kind of feel odd to comment negatively on people that you are personally friends and tweet often. Especially with you having pictures with Vienna and then commenting on what she does in the house that’s inappropriate. It’s bond to cause some problems for you two in your friendship later, Right? I think your blogs and vlogs are good Molly, but they always start out a little catty and then get better. You write really well, but you forget that you yourself dressed not so great, and always made out on TV in a tent. That was very uncomfortable to listen too. Not trying to be mean, just saying,
