Who Won Big Brother 14?

Did Dan, Danielle or Ian take home the $500,000?

Who Won Big Brother 14?

Ian Terry became the 14th person to win Big Brother Wednesday night when he bested Dan Gheesling in a jury vote of 6 to 1.

That means the 21-year-old student from Pittsburgh takes the $500,000 grand prize and Dan finishes second with the $50,000 prize. Earlier in the evening, Danielle Murphree finished third place for the season when Ian won the last round of the final Head of Household competition and evicted her.

Danielle joined the other previously-evicted houseguests to complete the jury of seven.

“This is easily the best moment of my entire life,” Ian said after winning Big Brother 14. “I don’t know how I pulled it off. But quack quack.”

Congratulations, Ian!

And America decided that their favorite houseguest was Frank . He wins $25,000 for that honor.

Be sure to tune into the post-final Backyard Interviews on SuperPass! The crew will be in the backyard with the BB14 HGs from 8-11PM BBT!

congrats to Ian it was a well deserved win, he played a great game.

  • Candy apple yay.

Congrats to Ian. If Dan was to lose, I’m glad it was to Ian. They both played amazing games. Congrats Dan and Ian!!

Does frank honestly have that many fans? I honestly did not think he was winning America’s favourite.

No way did Frank win America’s fav… that was a joke

I was surprised at Frank too!! But I was thinking… Britney & Ian were probably just as popular, but with the SAME people, so the votes for people like them were probably split, meaning someone like Frank could ‘overtake them’ for the prize!!

Lets talk America’s Favorite… That was rigged… vote should’ve went to Britney, Ian, Dan or Janelle. I literally never saw Frank overly mentioned at all…

    • SueSue

No way Frank won this. My entire family voted Ian to the limits. Everyone I knew voted for Ian. They didn’t want Ian to take it all. If we was American’s Favorite in addition to BB winner, he should’ve received it too. I would have been happy if Brit or Shane would’ve taken it, but Frank???? Come on, why have American vote and then you give it to whomever you liked the best. After a while, it becomes a joke to us and we’ll eventually not waste our time voting. Just rename it to the “Producer’s Pick” and give it to whoever the heck you want to have it.

      • James

You can not win the $500K AND AF….so if the $500K winner is AF, then they go to 2nd place….however, CBS does like to rig those sort of things (look at the coaches entering the game)

I voted ian also but someone said if they turn out to be final two they can’t win it?? they would have to change that envelope fast then if it was ian or dan that won it and even if that was true even though Idon’t like her brit deserves it more then frank

    • Shannonmegale

It actually makes a lot of sense one because frank does have fans and those fans are dedicated and voted for him a lot as well as you must remember the tv fans that dont comment on things like this. Then a lot of people loved Ian and people whose favorites were Britney or janelle were not just voting for them but were voting for Ian, This could have caused ian to have many votes and he was probably the true winner of AF, but the final two are not allowed to be named AF so Ian couldn’t get it and because most people gave their votes to Ian probably (this is just what I’m assuming happened as it makes sense) and Frank’s fan base only voted for Frank Frank came in second and won it.

I think so too Andrew a lot of people did not like him.

    Yay Ian and Frank.

Too bad Dan didn’t win the last comp so he could have been the one to evict Danielle. This would have made the vote 7-0.

    • NikD

Danielle would have never voted against Dan she clearly suffers from Stockholm’s Syndrome.

      • Gogirl_007

If you looked at her face during the show when she found out that Dan had given his grandfathers cross to show Ian he was going to take him to the final two, she was really upset. During the party she was in shock to find out Dan had told Shane before he was leaving that Danielle was playing against Shane (something like this, you should have seen the look on her face and she was clearly upset. I believe that at the voting, she did not give Dan her vote because she wanted him to win but to make a point and said how she would keep her word (the way Dan did not). She probably knew how the jury was going to vote so she was sure Ian was safe. If you looked at what she said and how she said it, that was a slap on Dan.

        • bdpmbl

She was playing Shane if you believe her that she would take Dan to f2. Didn’t she tell Shane she would take him to F2 but admits she was loyal to Dan? I think that would be playing him.

So happy Ian won he certainly deserved it. I feel like we watched him grow up in the house

our west coast tv feed cut out twice. who voted for ian? thanks.

    • jnuce

Dane’s only vote was from danielle

  • 13deanna13

What a disappointing ending…. Dan manhandled, schemed, backstabbed and lied his way to brilliance this season, and the entire jury, minus ‘cant think for myself’ Danielle, voted strictly on bitterness. Don’t get me wrong, Ian knows his game facts, and won enough challenges to make himself a legit HG to be sitting in the final two, but never did the kid have his back against the wall and have to battle to save himself and a teammate. Dan not only got himself taken off the block numerous times by shear brainpower, but he also managed to get Danielle off as well. Way to pretend that this game is about ‘who played with the most virtue’ jury members… I am sure they are shining their halos as we speak. Oh well, vote how you may you bitter ones, but Dan will always be the man with a plan, and you? you are only a jury member. DAN FTW!

    • NikD

Dan’s argument for all the shitty things he did was cause he wasnt physically capable of winning anything, neither was Ian and he still managed to make it to the final two without embarrassing himself. Dan basically emotionally abused a girl for 3 months and he should win $500,000? Come on, I can see making big moves but this guy is like the kid who gets picked last on the playground and cries his way into the game. I love the comment about going to Confessional at the end….true colors. All the slack for the Bible is coming from his own actions and the fact the he himself brought it into the game by sitting around reading the Bible.

      • Teebuck0

i agree with you nikd… ian deserved this just as much as Dan did…. He won way more comps and played a much more cleaner game…. Dan knew that could come back to haunt him so people get over it…. It always amaze me how the players always get it and the loyal fans dont

      • 13deanna13

Well like Wil (from this season) pointed out, those who are played must take ownership for being played…. Danielle isn’t some naive HG that didn’t know how the game was played. And besides, Dan was loyal and carried her all the way to the end, until he had to make the best decision for his game. Saying he was ‘abusive’ is so far-fetched and ridiculous. As for the bible play, I can’t judge ones actions, nor should anyone else… its about what is in Dan’s heart, not the words that are coming out of his mouth during a game.

        • http://twitter.com/Perculating Thomas G

THATS WHY WILL DIDNT EVEN MAKE IT TO JURY… HE WAS SO SMART

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/FIFQSX7QW53AZMBC47FYLGX6TQ JO

so you think that someone all the things about the game that they do none of it can be them in real life?? lol. ok I don’t believe dan is a bad evil person outside the house but I don’t believe he is as good as he says. I am almost 100% sure of that because he seemed not to have a problem at all doing those things in the house

agree with you nikD. I also think it is bs that everyone leaves the game there. Part of you in in the game. so dan isn’t this catholic goody two shoes. All the crap he did he couldn’t of done or been just for the game. lying on the bible, giving ian the watch or whatever it was. dan was so evil and he expects me to believe none of him was that. bs

      • ChrisBaron42

I agree that Dan’s big plays don’t justify all of these claims that he should have won, and that what he put Danielle through was just wrong. This game is about walking the line between friend and enemy, which is how Ian played while Dan was just everyone’s enemy. I missed the show last night working late at DISH, but I was able to catch it off of a recording that my Hopper automatically made for Primetime anytime. I love how I don’t have to set timers or worry about having space on my hard drive and all of my favorite shows will be there when I get home. I am really glad that I saw it because I think it came down to those final speeches, and that Dan would have won over Jenn, and maybe others, if he said the right things.

What about when Ian unknowingly saved himself from eviction when Dan had planned to backstab him? Besides that, Dan, Danielle and Shane wouldn’t have made it as far as they did without Ian’s help. If Ian didn’t make the first move on betraying Boogie and Frank, this would have played out so differently. Mind you, I don’t like how Ian played either, I think that he made a lot of bad choices, but who cares cause he won so it all worked out for him. In the end, Dan had no chance of winning this. Even if Danielle would have been sitting there instead of Ian, the jury would have given her the money. Dan would have probably had two votes instead of one thou haha.

Big Brother is about doing what you can to make it to the end. Dan did that yes, but he clearly didn’t consider how the jury members would feel towards him. He made the bad assumption that they would see it as him playing the game and being a strong competitor…He was clearly wrong. And as far as I see it, Dan could have made it to the final two, maybe even won it, if he didn’t play as dirty as he did. The only time He REALLY needed to play dirty was when he threw Brit under the bus. Aside from that, he was just playing to ruthless when he never really had too.

Congrats to Ian! But congrats to Ian for winning America’s favorite vote. Yes, I checked poles from many websites and Dan was ahead at first but the final weeks had Ian beating Dan by an larger and larger spread. The polls here had Ian ahead and the end also. Frank, like the guy but I think the only reason he did not get it was because they the producers did not want to award two prizes to Ian for money. But it would have been a great show if they had kept the vote the way it really went down.

THE ONLY POLLS THAT MATTER ARE CBS POLLS…. POLLS FROM FAN SITES FAVOR FAN SITE FAVORITES

      • bdpmbl

One of Franks friends/fan posted on here that he cheated for Frank and voted under a lot of different IPS addresses. (not sure if that is what he called it) Not sure if that is possible though.

  • John Gurchin

First … Congratulations Ian. Much more honest & compassionate game-playing than Dan’s game. Dan’s arranging for a little chat time with someone outside his confessional booth who goes by the name Satan. Don’t know what’s up wit that. Only reason I’d wished that Ian would have take Danielle is that she’d probably be set up for the next year with 50k rather than Dan. Ian would have won against Danielle too, maybe by a smaller spread, but I think he would have won. As for that wooden Hammock. It’s got Ian’s name and a lot of his quack quack quaker stuff on it when he was daydreaming of Ashley.
