The Biggest Loser UK trainer Angie Dowds has been found dead at England’s Beachy Head, a location notorious for suicides.
The body was found on Sunday but police just confirmed it was Dowds.
“The body of a woman found at the foot of the cliffs at Beachy Head, Eastbourne, on Sunday November 20 has been identified as that of 42-year-old Angela Dowds, from London,” a police spokesperson said.
“Just after 4.30pm on Sunday the public reported that a woman was seen to jump or fall from the top of cliffs at Beachy Head,” the spokesperson continued. “Coastguards found the body of woman at the foot of the cliffs. There are no suspicious circumstances and an inquest has been opened and adjourned by the coroner.”
The 42-year-old TV star and trainer had been a part of the show since 2005. Dowds had revealed having past problems with drugs and alcohol and one time and was said to have split with her girlfriend earlier this year.
Dowds faced more troubles this year. In February, Dowds was removed from the show after she admitted telling her contestants to cheat before a weigh in. She was allowed to return for the finale, however.
