Episode 8 Recap: Daphne’s Revenge

Episode 8 Recap: Daphne’s Revenge

The tension in the Biggest Loser house has been building over the past few weeks, especially between Daphne and AnaConda, and on Tuesday night, everything came to a boil.

So we know that AnaConda hates everyone and Daphne hates AnaConda for sending home her brother. Daphne got the chance for revenge this week. And even though the revenge she chose made absolutely no sense, I do applaud her effort. No one in the house seems to realize AnaConda is the real problem.

What set the revenge plot into motion was Alison offering up a Temptation Challenge to the contestants. The challenge was a simple one. The person who ate the most food from a rotating buffet of pizza, cheesesticks, peanut butter cups and donuts could choose to change the two teams however they want.

Mark decides to eat two plates of deer meat (I’m not even joking) for 312 calories. Chris wolfs down some pizza and peanut butter cups at 1,039 calories. Kim has a peanut butter cup worth 201 calories. Casssandra scores 619 calories for eating pizza and peanut butter cups.

Then Daphne enters the room. She consumes NINE plates of peanut butter cups. That’s 1,890 calories. The taste of revenge is sweet, literally, she must think.

She decides to put Jeremy on her opposing red team and put Conda on her own black team. Wait? Why? I thought for sure she had some kind of plan. Like to murder Conda in her sleep or something. But the more I (and everyone on the Ranch) thought about it, no sense could be made from it. She disrupted the house for sure, but at what cost? She’ll later find out the cost.

If I had that power and since Alison said I could change the teams ANY WAY I wanted, I would’ve put Conda on a team by herself. But I guess that probably wouldn’t have been allowed.

Daphne eventually confesses to what she did, thanks to Bob’s moral policing. And that sets of the Black Team on a revenge quest themselves. They decide to be lazy all week and eat a lot of bread, so they can throw the weigh-in and send Daphne home.

Oh, that plan could go so beautifully in a number different ways. The best would be for Daphne to convince everyone else that AnaConda is the real problem in the house and surprise her with a trip home. OR, Daphne could just win the weigh-in and they’d be forced to choose one of their own. Surely Daphne will make sure of one of those scenerios, right? Wrong.

During the weigh-in, Conda can’t keep her mouth shut and starts everyone going on a dramatic war of words all while Bob crosses her arms and rolls her eyes. Alison is taking notes on how she can use some of Conda’s moves in her role as Sami Brady Reed Walker Roberts DiMera Hernandez on “Days of Our Lives.” Dolvett decides to step in a break it up.

Daphne does worse at the weigh-in than the contestants actually trying to throw it with a two-pound gain. At the voting ceremony, the voting plays out just as we expected. And by that, I don’t just mean that almost everyone voted for Daphne, I mean that AnaConda also couldn’t keep her mouth shut.

Daphne was seriously trying to politely speak her peace and say goodbye and Conda wouldn’t let her. Conda decided Daphne had no right to even speak and started the drama again.

Once again, the wrong person goes home while Conda sits back and watches everyone else drop like flies. Maybe the others will eventually realize that not only is Conda causing the toxic environment, she’s going to beat all their asses and win the whole game. Dummies.
