Donald Driver Wins Dancing With the Stars

Congratulations to Peta for winning in her second season as a DWTS pro!

Donald Driver Wins Dancing With the Stars

The “best season” of Dancing With The Stars came to an end tonight when Donald Driver raised the Mirror Ball Trophy high in the air with his partner Peta Murgatroyd.  Congratulations to Peta for winning her first trophy as a professional in only her second season with Dancing With The Stars.

The three finalist had to dance one more dance tonight, which they learned in just 24 hours.  When it came to scoring, the judges handed out nothing but perfect scores.  The judges who are infamous for their favoritism let the voters decide who would be the winner this year.

Katherine Jenkins set the bar high for all the contestants from the very first week.  She deserved to be standing in the final two.  Katherine should have been getting 10s early on in the season, but instead the judges gave them to Maria Menonous.  Over the two-night finale Katherine earned a perfect 90 out of 90 with her three dances.  Katherine’s final dance was a Jive with her partner Mark Ballas.

In fact all three finalists were great dancers.  William Levy, who had women thrilled all season with his sexy moves, was eliminated in third place.  William scored an 89 out of 90 for his three finale dances and set Bruno’s heart all aflutter with his hips.  William’s final dance, a Salsa with partner Cheryl Burke, showed his dance ability flawlessly.   It was high energy and, of course, sexy!

Donald Driver wowed viewers on Monday night with his free style dance and received his first perfect 10s of the season.  According to the judges, Donald peaked at the right time.  The truth is, he was underscored by the judges all season long, but he never let that stop him.   Donald’s final dance was a Cha Cha with partner Peta Murgatroyd; it was sexy and he flirted with the judges (which always helps).

It was Monday night’s free style that propelled Donald Driver to first place and head judge Len Goodman gave him the encore dance for the finale.

All the previously eliminated dancers were on hand to dance one more time in the two hour finale.  Some were very funny and some were very talented.  The moment of the night that will stand out for many was when Gladys Knight sang “The Way We Were.”   Gladys still has it going on and she had viewers in tears.

Next season….ALL STARS!!!  Who do you want to see?

I think the best part of the whole season is always the finale. I agree that Glady’s was breathtaking with her song, and it was nice to see all of the stars again. One person I would love to see on DWTS is Jack Black. I’m sure he would get voted off soon, but I bet it would be hilarious. I will be watching in the morning next season because I save 20 minutes of commercials because I can watch with Auto Hop and PrimeTime Anytime recordings, while I get ready for going to work at Dish. I love that because I can spend quality time with my family at night that way.
