HOLLAday Specials Ahead For Alana Thompson

The one-hour season finale of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo airs tonight but TLC has more in store for fans of the Toddlers & Tiaras star.

Honey Boo Boo, Mama, Sugar Bear and family have signed on for more episodes of the show including three holiday specials –  I’m sorry, HOLLAday specials. One for Halloween, one for Thanksgiving (of course, we all like to watch them eat!) and one for Christmas.

The reality show has really taken off despite it’s hillbilly subtitles and a whopping 2.3 million people are tuning in each week on TLC. By comparison, last night’s Dancing with the Stars drew in 11.9 million, so Honey Boo Boo has quite a large audience who “redneckognize”.

Additional episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will air in the spring of 2013.

It will be interesting to see the meals prepared for the “Holladay” episodes. I have a feeling “skeeti” will be one of the main courses. I will miss the final episode of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” because of my new work schedule at DISH. I’m sad this show is coming to an end, and I’m not afraid to admit I am a fan. My Hopper has the final episode recorded, and with all the DVR recording space available I won’t a miss a moment of the upcoming specials, or re-runs.
