Why You Should be Watching "Mob Wives"
It's possibly one of the most underrated train wrecks in reality TV!
After a couple friends prodded and practically begged me to watch Mob Wives, I finally succumbed and watched my first episode a few weeks into Season 2. I have to admit, I was immediately hooked and haven’t looked back since.
Typically I’m not a big “Housewives” fan as I can NOT relate to those crazy, over-privileged bitches whose faces all look like they’re melting. But Mob Wives is different. The women are rougher, tougher and they are real-life mobsters' daughters, granddaughters, nieces and wives. If that isn’t a good enough reason to watch, I don’t know what is.
How is it that these women can openly talk about the mafia lifestyle without getting whacked? Renee Graziano’s father reportedly wants nothing to do with her since she began filming Mob Wives, and although mafiosos generally like to be showy, they aren’t exactly hip on the world seeing a glimpse of the inside. Has the mob really changed that much? Who knows, maybe this show will go out with a bang like Scarface. Mounds of yeyo, chainsaw showers and paranoia. The World Is Yours.

Despite all the gangster stuff and hot mess drama, there is one more essential – and I mean CRUCIAL – reason to watch Mob Wives . . . Big Ang.
These days having extreme plastic surgery isn’t exactly enough to make you news worthy, but Big Ang is more than just implants, a tummy tuck, and monstrous lip injections, she actually has an infectious personality and that’s why I love her. Yeah, at first I was skeptical that she may have been a man (not that there's anything wrong with that) but now that I'm past that, I see that she is actually a fun loving, big goofball who doesn't seem to take herself too seriously. Obviously, right?
Mob Wives: Season 2 wraps up in May, but another season is on tap with Mob Wives: Chicago set to air this summer. Oh, and did I mention Big Ang is getting her own show? It begins taping this summer and should be premiering around the end of 2012/ beginning of 2013, and of course, I'll be covering here at RealityNation.com.
Bring. It. On.
