Who Won Project Runway?

On Thursday night, Project Runway’s season finale concluded with the crowning Dmitry Sholokov.

Dmitry bested Fabio Costa, Melissa Fleis and Christopher Palu to become the tenth person to win Project Runway.

“This is the biggest day of my life,” Dmitry said after being named the winner. “I just won Project Runway and I don’t know how the f–k I made it to this point…I’m beyond happy and proud.”

It’s never actually addressed how the others place in the end, but you can usually assume that they place in the order that they’re dismissed from the runway by host and judge Heidi Klum. So it can be presumed that Christopher, despite leading the pack the entire season finished fourth. Melissa came in third while Fabio finished second.

Joining Heidi on the judging panel were the usual suspects Nina Garcia and Michael Kors, but they were joined by guest judge Jennifer Hudson.

    Definately! Dmitry deserved to win. And I feel very sure that the other 3 will have a great career in fashion design and will go on to be hugely successful as well. There can only be 1 winner of Project Runway, but actually, they are ALL winners!

    Am so glad Fabio came in 2nd and not 3rd or 4th. His collection was so very strong also and I think this will give him the momentum to move forward.

    I loved all the finalist this year they were all so different and so skilled. I think Chris failed at the end because of his inability to make a decision and stop overthinking everything. Some of that is from his young age, some from being in the minset of pleasing the judges and also just personality. He is wonderful and will go far.

    If I were young and skinny I would want to wear Melissa’s clothes. So sexy and new.

    Wow, I’m really happy to hear Dmitry won; he is such a talented designer, and my favorite throughout the season. I was hoping I would catch the season finale when it aired, but missed it because of my new work schedule at DISH. Fortunately, I recorded the season finale on my Hopper, and with all the DVR recording space available I’m going to record the upcoming “Project Runway: All-stars.” I am very surprised to hear Christopher was placed fourth, I thought for sure he would be runner-up.

    Yes, Yes, Yes! I am SO glad Dimitry won. He deserved it. My favorite dress was the one 4th from the end. He deserved this win. I loved Christopher the entire season but then he turned into a whiny,snotty baby at the end. Congrats Dimitry…now go take on the world.

    Dmitry rocked it out from beginning to end! His sewing and innovative styles were impeccable! I was soooo happy for him!

    There was no contest, Dmitry was hands down a winner through the entire show. His garments were flawless every single week. He never even looked flustered even when he was. He just knocked it out an kept going. He even kept it professional when he wanted to stab Elena with sheers to shut her up!
