Big Brother heads to Canada, NBC thinks they can duplicate The Voice’s success with another singing contest and Kim Zolciak disappointed us all by not being bald and rashy when she took off her wig for the first time on television. But that’s only part of the week in Reality TV. What else happened?
They Spent What??? The Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s clothing budget was revealed this week and it’s apparently the highest in the show’s history. Emily’s stylist told InTouch Magazine that the show spent $350,000 on her wardrobe. Among that ridiculous (ridiculously jealous I should say) wardrobe was a $40,000 Randi Rahm gown (shown above). Really? That pageant dress was $40,000? I’ve seen better dresses on Miss Kentucky County Fair contestants.
Burned! Speaking of spoiled bitches and expensive things, did you hear what happened on that ridiculous reality show starring Clint Eastwood’s wife and daughters? Well first of all, the embarrassing train wreck is called Mrs. Eastwood and Co. and his daughter Francesca this week burned a red Hermes Birkin bag valued at $100,000.
There are more recent reports, though, that the bag might have been a knockoff. That means it was worth far less than the 100K. This story just gets more and more pointless as I write it. And for that, I’m sorry. I’ll just stop now.
P2 Sets A Record: American Idol 2012 winner Phillip Phillips’ came in at No. 2 on the Billboard digital sales chart and No. 10 on the Hot 100. His coronation single “Home” sold 278,000 downloads. That’s “the biggest sales week for any Idol winner’s coronation single since SoundScan began tracking downloads in 2003,” according to Billboard. “It surpasses David Cooks’s ‘The Time Of My Life,’ which debuted with 236,000 in 2008.”
Oh, and it’s the fourth-largest debut of the year, just behind Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Maroon 5. That’s not bad for a show that the blog world would lead you to believe is a dying, washed-up mess.
Have Dancing Pros Found Love? Dancing With the Stars bad boy Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd were spotted in a lip lock in Vegas and now we’re supposed to play the whole “OMG are they dating!?” game. Um yay for us. The two tell People Magazine they are not dating. Hey, maybe he was just congratulating her on winning the Mirror Ball Trophy along with Donald Driver this season.
(Letdown) Clip of the Week
What a letdown! That’s all? Like Maisy said, the only bad thing about this was the fact that she’s rocking The Rachel. I wanted a third eyeball or at least some bald patches oozing green slime. Letdown.
