Reality television's most devious villain is heading back to your television screens and it won't be on the next season of Survivor either.
Russell Hantz, the notorious runner-up (Samoa) and second runner-up (Heroes vs. Villains) of Survivor is starring on his own new reality show called “Flipped Off” (go figure) which will air on A&E. The premise of the show is this, Russell will attempt to buy houses in the Houston area, fix them up then flip them for profit. Yeah, the housing market isn't exactly ripe for this sort of thing, but that's exactly what might make this show worth watching. Russell doesn't seem too worried about it, in fact he is quite confident.
“There are tons of reality TV stars sitting on their couches and twiddling their thumbs because they haven’t created anything else. I expect to be one of the biggest house flippers in Houston and I am here to bring Houston’s economy back on its feet.” – Russell Hantz
You hear that? He is singlehandedly going to fix the economy, y
So how does Hantz compare being on Survivor with being on Flipped? He says fans are going to get a dose of the real Russell.
“This is real life. People are going to see the softer side of me, well, not always. I get pretty aggressive sometimes. But, my kids are here, my family is here. People show up and the cameras are there. I think that people are going to see the real me, especially when it comes to my kids. Little Gracie, my baby girl, she’s almost four years old, it’s amazing watching her. When the cameras are filming her, she just doesn’t care. She’s kind of like her daddy. I think that people are going to see a different side of me. And you’re still going to have people that hate me. Well, you’ve seen the show what do you think? I think it’s going to be a big success.”
Flipped Off premieres Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at 10:00PM ET. Will you be tuning in?
