Survivor is moving from Samoa to the Philippines for seasons 25 and 26.
After four of the last six seasons (19, 20, 23, 24) were held in Samoa, producers of Survivor are moving the show to Caramoan, Philippines for a refreshing new location. New for Survivor USA, but it will be the thirteenth time the location has been used on Survivor globally.
Local media in the Philippines have been buzzing about the upcoming Survivor shoots for months, and this past weekend crews traveled there to prepare for Season 25, which is being shot earlier than normal.
From the Bicol Mail Online in the Philippines:
CamSur, the Caramoan Peninsula in particular, is now definitely a world caliber tourism destination. This rosy reputation was fortified with the recent choice of the producers of the Survivor USA to shoot their next episode at selected islands off the coast of Gota Village Resort in Caramoan this coming March. The Survivor USA shoot will be the thirteenth season series of the globally broadcast reality show after Caramoan’s exotic settings repeatedly caught the eye and fancy of Survivor franchisees from several countries ever since Gota Village Resort opened in 2008.
No word on new cast members, if there will be returning players or new twists, but give it time, as we learn more about the upcoming seasons we will definitely be posting about here on Reality Nation. Stay tuned!
