The Voice Battle Rounds Part 5 Scorecard

How did the singers stack up during Part 5 of the battles?

The Voice Battle Rounds Part 5 Scorecard

The Voice Battle Rounds continued Monday night as Christina, Adam, Cee Lo and Blake got closer to filling all their spots. It was kind of a meh episode with not a lot of strong battles, but that’s probably because they’re saving the best for last for Tuesday night. Right? Let’s hope. OK, on to the battles.

The Voice Battle Rounds Scorecard

Daniel Rosa vs. Alexis Marceaux singing Adam Lambert’s “Whatya Want From Me”

  • Winner: Daniel
  • Should’ve Won: Alexis
  • The Steal: Not Used. I agree with this. Neither were as good as their initial auditions.

Brandon Mahone vs. Nicole Nelson with Marvin Gay and Tammi Terrell’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”

  • Winner: Nicole
  • Should’ve Won:  Brandon
  • The Steal: Not used. I think it’s really sad that Brandon was cut AND didn’t get a steal.

Brian Scartocci vs. Loren Allred singing Lady Antebellum’s “I Need You Now”

  • Winner: Loren
  • Should’ve Won: Brian
  • The Steal: Not Used. I just really liked the single dad and his style. Bummed that he’s out.

Ryan Jirovec vs. Cassadee with Gavin DeGraw’s “Not Over You”

  • Winner: Cassadee
  • Should’ve Won: Cassadee
  • The Steal: Not Used

Joe Kirkland vs. Samuel Mouton with the New Radicals’ “You Get What You Give”

  • Winner: Joe
  • Should’ve Won: Joe
  • The Steal: Not used

Devyn Deloera vs. Marissann singing En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind”

  • Winner: Devyn
  • Should’ve Won: Marissaann
  • The Steal: Used. Blake snatched Marissann up. I don’t really get why. I thought both of their performances were shouty Xtina impersonations.

I usually agree with the coaches’ choices more than I did for this episode. Maybe I was just in a bad mood.

Best Performance of the Night

Now this isn’t my pick of the night (because I didn’t have one really), but this is what the show closed with and what others might argue was the best of the night. So there you go.

Totally agree with you on this night Branden. ALL performances were lack luster and I didn’t really even like any of them. The night was a snooze fest as far as talent goes.

I thought Devyn and Marisann did an amazing job, both put alot of heart into their performances, though I liked Marisanns the best! I am happy that they both get to go on.

I like The Voice more than “Idol” or “X-Factor” because for The Voice, one must already be at least a passable singer so we aren’t made to suffer through endless hours of nonsense. That said, last night’s performances weren’t up to snuff, imo. And as USUAL, there are a few idiots on Twitter who STILL have not realized that Adam LAMBERT and Adam LEVINE are two separate entities and who tweeted about the “Adam Levine song, Whataya Want From Me” LOL! That was a train wreck. I’ve only heard it sung decently by 2 people. Pink (the actual writer of it) and Adam Lambert himself (and in concert, Pink even stated that he “sings it much better than I can”) ;D
