The Voice Top 12 Socrecard

Two acts will be sent packing tonight

The Voice Top 12 Socrecard

On Monday night’s first legitimate live voting episode of The Voice, the Top 12 took to the stage and most of the acts delivered. While there wasn’t a clear stand-out performance like Amanda Brown’s rendition of “Dream On” last week, there were a lot of solid contenders.

So that means America’s job to decide the Top 10 could not have been easy. I have my picks and I’m sure you have yours, but we’ll have to wait and see what America decided tonight when two acts head home. For now, let’s look back at last night’s performances as I rank the players in the usual four categories.

After thoughts: Am I the only one not in love with Trevin Hunte? I mean I think he’s a great singer but I find him boring. And I scored him so low on that song choice because “When A Man Loves a Woman”? Really? How trite. And Terry McDermott was once a front-runner in my eyes, but he’s getting really cocky and his vocals last night were not as on as they have been. Right now the best performers are Bryan Keith and Amanda Brown.

I feel bad for scoring Nicholas so low but that song choice was awful and it effected his performance. You could tell he did not want to sing that. Way to go Cee Lo. I think Nicholas is in real trouble tonight and it will be the song choice that does him in. The only person I think at the most risk of being eliminated is Adriana Louise. She’s just not memorable enough. Oh, and the prettiest to look at award goes to Dez.

Best Performance of the Night

As I mentioned earlier, there wasn’t a performance that made me want to jump up out of my chair, but Bryan Keith never fails to deliver. From the song choice to his smooth and effortless sound, I think he’s one of the best in the contest. I love his voice. I love his speaking voice. I think he defines what this show is about. If he goes home tonight or anytime soon, it will be tragic.

What did you think of the Top 12 performances? Who are your favorites? Who is going home tonight?

    I agree, I didn’t absolutely love anyone…

I agree, it was such a disappointing choice for Nicholas David! I think he’s an awesome singer and I couldn’t even listen to the entire song. What a bad choice for him.
