Astro Says X Factor Punished Him, Threatens to Quit the Show

Even though he apologized for his bad attitude on last week’s X Factor results show, 15-year-old contestant Astro is now claiming the show’s producers, not America, put him in the bottom two.

And get this, he’s even claiming he may quit the show.

Astro thinks the show put him in the bottom two next to Stacy Francis over an off-camera dispute over the brand of headphones the rapper insisted he wear. Astro wore a pair of Dr. Dre’s Beats headphones despite the show’s deal with Sony.

So Astro says, his punishment for defying the show was being falsely placed in the bottom two.

“I don’t see how you can have the most followers on Twitter out of everybody in the competition and get voted in the bottom two,” he told the New York Post. ” So, I thought something was jiggy.”

Show officials have denied the accusations.
“After the public vote, Astro was in the bottom two last week,” an X Factor spokersperson said. “All votes are collected and tallied by an independent vote management firm. The results were certified to be true and accurate.”
The teen’s mom has called for him to quit the show and it sounds like Astro is considering it.
“She knew what was going on,” Astro said. “She was tellin’ me, ‘Just leave. You need to leave and go home.’ It’s stupid, you know. But I told my mom, ‘Let’s at least try it one more time. Let’s get one more week in.’ ”
The Top 9, including Astro, take the stage tonight (a night early tihs week because of Thanksgiving).

    Astro, your in a compatition, and it’s not your place, or your mama’s place to make or be judgemental to X-Factors rules. You should be respectful and respect and follow the rules that are asked and expected by you.
    I see you as such an amazing artist with much potential! Don’t give your fans a Bad Vibe to see in you. Be a Big Boy! I feel it will take you much further in this fantastic journey.

    And Mama, shame on you for teaching your Son to be judgemental in that way to others. Seems it’s only teaching him to be disrespectful..
