Changes in store for The X Factor, Simon Cowell says

It should come at no surprise that The X Factor executive producer Simon Cowell is already discussing changes for next season’s show.

Fans did not respond well to a lot about the first season of the singing competition. Judge Nicole Scherzinger was booed by audiences for making unpopular decisions and host Steve Jones was attacked time and time again in blogs for his robotic and wooden performance.

So when Cowell uses the word bloodbath you can only imagine who the first two victims will be.

“Next year will be a bloodbath,” Cowell told People Magazine. “We have to come out with something better than the rest, and that’s what we aim to do. Can we make the show better? Yes.”

Aside from adjusting the judging panel and host, the show could also stand to drop its mentoring bit. Each judge being in charge of a group of contestants lead to a lot of awkward moments and uncomfortable bickering (and not the kind we all love to see).

The X Factor’s first season ended last Thursday when America chose Melanie Amaro as the winner.

I hated the host, and the fact that Nicole was a judge (even though I dont personally hate Nicole, I just dont agree with some of her decisions) But I loved the mentoring part, it made the show set apart from American Idol in that way. Or maybe all 4 judges can work together to mentor them all. idk

I feel that a judge is hired to judge and should do so, not cry and whimper and waver like both Paula and Naomi. BUT LA Reid was not much better, when it came to choosing between one of his “own” or someone else who actually sang better. If that is the case, then if one their “own” is being judged let that mentor pass
I don’t think the format of the show should be changed because that’s what makes it different from all other shows. I think it’s a GREAT show, Simon and you should be proud. Any of the final 3 could have won and your show would have been a success. Hooray for you, Simon!!!!!!

They’re bringing the show back? Seriously? Maybe they should make Nicole the host. That way she can stand there and look l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶K̶a̶r̶d̶a̶s̶h̶i̶a̶n̶ pretty.
