Last Call For X Factor Auditions!
Teens are taking over the stage.
Boot camp starts next week! So Wednesday night’s X Factor episode was one of the last two audition episodes (Thank goodness, right?). This week, judges Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are in Providence, RI, Greensboro, NC and San Francisco, CA (again) sifting through the talent and again it was the next generation that proved they ruled the singing roost. Seven of the eleven contestants given the golden ticket last night were between the ages 13 and 19-years-old, including lead singer of KISS Gene Simmons’ daughter Sophie Tweed -Simmons (who didn’t seem all that happy when Demi noticed her and pointed out the fact). Then when the singing wasn’t good it was bad, like really bad, and like the producers of X Factor like to showcase, some contestants were humiliated, destroyed by the judge and then forced to go home empty handed and shameful, like rapping duo Adonis and John (aka. OG – Original Geeks) who destroyed Lionel Ritchie’s classic “Hello” and 52-year-old Changy Li who sank Celine Dion’s Titanic hit “My Heart Will Go On.”
Tomorrow night is the final night of auditions and I’m looking forward to seeing the selected contestants as a whole (although with so many teenagers it seems like the final group may look more like a classroom than a talent group). I’m also on the edge of my seat to see what happened to energetic little Trevor Moran, who passed out backstage after a busy day of running around playing to Carly Rae’s “Call Me Maybe” song.
Who are your X Factor front runners? And what did you think of Demi’s hair? I loved it!
